Our Literacy Team at The CTM Academy consists of Mary Duncan (CTC, Teacher, Interventionist) and Shenay Golden (Director).The team meets regularly to review data, make adjustments in instructional approaches, and monitor progress of the students. Professional development is provided that is aligned with Science of Reading.
Grades 7-8 use Edmentum as the core reading instruction with Exact Path as the intervention piece for Tier 2. Exact Path will be linked to our ILEARN Checkpoints to help ensure students are getting the necessary intervention to be successful.
Acadience 7-8 is the reading screener we use three times a year to monitor our students’ reading progress and help design individualized programs for students in need. Tier 3 is more individualized instruction given in a 1:1 setting.
